JS WORLDWIDE EXTRAVAGANZA
Big month here.
TRUCKERY RHYMES is out now . . . and already #5 on the NY Times Best Seller list. Nursery Rhymes done by the Trucktown trucks. Of course.
And ROBOT ZOT is about to land. A picture book illustrated by the amazing David Shannon (NO, DAVID!) tells the story of a fierce warrior robot who plans to conquer all. Zot just never realizes that he is only 3 inches tall. In stores September 22.

CHILDREN'S BOOK WEEK
Starts this Saturday in Bryant Park. 12-3. Come on out and get Children's Bookish with Ambassador Scieszka, nine authors and illustrators, Skippyjon Jones, and quite possibly some Stormtrooper Ambassadorial guards (formerly known as "Vader's Fist").
And do not miss the Children's Choice Book Awards Gala on Tuesday. Mo Willems, Jeff Kinney, Stephanie Meyer and more are in the running for Best Author and Best Illustrator. Just a few tickets left.

Trucktown Update
The NY Times Book Review ran a nice review of SMASH! CRASH! last Sunday.
But I love the piece Lisa Von Drasek (Children's Librarian at Bank Street) for B&N Online. She really got how TRUCKTOWN is all about letting kids play.
Lots more books coming out in June. And I'm working on the Trucktown Online World with a great group called Chorion. It should launch next fall. This will be a place where kids can hang out with their favorite truck . . . and actually BE a truck.
